STUDY MOTIVATION: It doesn’t have to be perfect

perfectionism

Do you find it hard to deal with your own perfectionism? Do you always have that feeling that you should be studying or progressing more than you actually are? Fear not, I also deal with these kinds of issues and in this video I want to talk to you about the kind of mindset you should adapt when learning a language and how the perfectionist attitude that you have, however understandable or admirable, might actually be the very thing holding you back from advancing as much as you would like or even enjoy the process for that matter. It’s all about the small steps that you take along the way.

In this video, I also give a shout-out to the fantastic TED-talk of Marianna Pascal, ” Learning a language? Speak it like you’re playing a video game” which you can check out here.
